Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray recovers after surgery | City News, India Express

Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray underwent cervical spine surgery at HN Reliance Hospital in Girgaum, Mumbai on Friday morning. A news briefing issued by the Office of the Chief Minister stated that Thackray is in stable condition, citing spine surgeon Dr. Shekhar Bhojraj and CM cardiologist Dr. Ajit Desai. It added that he had been transferred to a room.

Dr. Desai said in an interview with the "India Express": "He is absolutely stable and will be discharged from the hospital within three to four days. The operation lasted nearly an hour and a half."

The chief minister has been suffering from neck and back pain for several days, and he was seen wearing a neck brace this week. Soon after the weekly cabinet meeting on Wednesday, he went to the hospital and was admitted.
